As a former teacher it warms my heart to see students embrace the spirit of giving and work hard to give back.

And I am so very proud of the Perkerson Elementary Jr. Beta Club students in Atlanta who dedicated the month of February to collecting diapers for babies of Atlanta Diaper Relief.

Led by their teacher Robin Glenn, the students chose the month of LOVE to show love to the babies we service in our program. They learned about our organization and the reason behind why we do the work we do. And they helped to spread the word throughout their school and community about our cause.

The end result? More than 2,400 diapers were collected for babies in need!

Thank you to all of the awesome students in the Jr. Beta Club for caring and giving your best to help with this diaper need. It’s because of people like you that we can do this work. You are a significant part of the community that works together to give back and make a difference in community for many others.

Thank you to the gifted teacher, Robin Glenn, for spearheading this event, and for reaching out to us, putting this mission on your heart and then following through in such a big way. Thank you to Perkerson’s principal Jermaine Dawson for supporting our cause. It truly takes a village to help others and it starts with each of us doing what we can at schools, churches and community centers to bring about change. We appreciate you.

Thank you also to Courtney Olivari of CEO Customcakes and Andra Hall of Camicakes for allowing us to use their businesses as drop off locations!

On Thursday February 23rd, the students of Perkerson were featured on 11Alive news during the Random Acts of Kindness segment by Donna Lowry at 6:50 AM!
